The 2018 Pike County Bible Reading Marathon will be held beginning at 9 a.m., Monday, September 10 and run through Wednesday, September 12 at 5 p.m.

This year, only the Psalms and The Four Gospels will be read.  The six hours on Monday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. will complete all of the Psalms.  Tuesday at 9 a.m., the reader will begin in Matthew and read an assigned amount of chapters [see the schedule at www.thegospler.org/BRM2018.pdf]

At 11 a.m. on Tuesday, the marathon will be suspended for the special 911 service on the courthouse grounds.  At 12 noon or shortly thereafter, a reader will begin and readings will continue until 5 p.m. for a total of 7 hours on Tuesday.  At 9 a.m., the final 7 hours needed to finish the Gospels will commence and end at 4 p.m.  Please call 770-567-4113 to schedule a time to read.

Pending approval by the county board of commissioners, the event will be held at the south portico of the courthouse.  Two folding chairs and an adjustable reading stand will be left on the porch for use by readers.

Cooperation from as few as 20 saints will make this year’s marathon a success.  Thank you for being a part of history and helping to publicly speak boldly God’s Word.
