Prayer Power gives two awards each year.

  • The Prayer Power Faith Award, is given to one male and one female graduating high school Senior from Pike County.
  • The Saints in Light Award, is given to someone in the community that has shown love and caring for those in our community.

Prayer Power Faith Award /SCHOLARSHIP

The Prayer Power Faith Award / Scholarship shall be presented to one male and one female graduating senior from Pike County, Georgia.

The award winner shall be selected from nominated seniors.

Seniors may be nominated by any group or individual.

Nominees may attend public school, private school, or be home schooled.

Nominations must be received by Prayer Power of Georgia, in writing, no later than the first day of March.

All nominations must be accompanied by the following;

  1. The testimony of the nominee.
  2. A letter of recommendation.

Letter should give specific achievements and ways in which the senior has displayed their spiritual growth and maturity during their high school experience.

Permission to use the name and image of the award winner on our website and promotional material is required.

Award winners shall be selected by Prayer Power of Georgia’s Board of Directors.

Prayer Power of Georgia may interview nominees.

Nominees shall be selected based on;

  • Growth and maturity of faith over the four year high school experience.
  • Community involvement
  • Participation in church functions and activities
  • Outward display of faith

Awards shall be announced and presented at the senior’s honors night, or at other appropriate events and times.

Saints in Light Award

12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the Saints in Light. 13 For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son.

The “Saints in Light Award” is to be presented to an individual who has been a spiritually inspiring, motivating, and encouraging influence in the community, and who openly and with love works for the betterment of the community and the people they come in contact with. By reflecting the true meaning of love and service in the community they inspire and empower others to do the same.

By unselfishly working in and serving our community this person has not only displayed a deep spiritual life, but has undertaken what we as Christians know as the Great Commission. Reaching out to all in need and willing to help all in our community this person will give renewed faith and spiritual life to all.

This will be an annual award. This award shall be presented to a person in Pike County that has been nominated by the community and selected by the Board of Directors of Prayer Power of Georgia.

All nominations must be received no later than the first day of March.
